THE HISTORY OF HAREBELL HERBS
Rosemarie Lieb moved to West Kerry in 1987 from Switzerland and started to grow organic vegetables and herbs following biodynamic principles. This developed into making home-made dressings, sauces and relishes, which she began to sell at local markets under the DINGLE DELICIOUS label.

Harebell Herbs was founded in 2001 by Gabriella Attems. Gabriella studied organic horticulture at An t’Ionad Glas in Dromcollogher, Co. Limerick and she also completed an apprenticeship with master herbalist Judith Hoad in Co. Donegal. Judith passed on to Gabriella her unique method of making skin care products. Rosemarie and Gabriella met at the Dingle Market as fellow stall holders. They shared an appreciation of natural beauty and a common interest in organic cultivation.
In 2006 Rosemarie bought Harebell Herbs from Gabriella. Having years of experience growing organic vegetables and flowers she decided to grow the flowers and herbs needed for Harebell Herbs following biodynamic principles. It was difficult to source certified organic suppliers of ingredients needed but finally she found high quality producers.

Rosemarie worked long and hard to develop the brand, expand the range and improve the recipes. Harebell Herbs has grown from small beginnings and is now stocked in over a dozen select outlets across the country (see stockists).
